Special Visitor

Yesterday afternoon I was talking with Mark on the phone and he said that there was someone knocking on the door. When he looked out the window he was surprised to see his Grannie. She had driven all the way from Arlington to drop off trick or treat goodies for the kids. So I took off a few hours early and brought the kids home to see her. It was a very special and unexpected visit. We dont get to see her very much and the kids had a blast playing with her.
The kids were holding their treats from Grannie.

Opening presents...

Love you Grannie and so glad you came to see us! The kids loved their treats!!

Trunk or Treat

Tonight we went to a Trunk or Treat at a local church. The kids had a blast. Maddie seemed a little unsure at first, but she eventually started holding her bucket up and saying thank you. Here are some pics.

They loved the train ride!

Bri and Drew were there running a game.

Mason did pretty good at this game. He got 3 out of 4 rolls in the toilet.

And of course Maddie had to have a turn. She figured out the best way to get it in :)

The kids had a blast and can't wait until actual Halloween day when they get to trick or treat again.

Crazy Hair Day and Fire Safety

Today was crazy hair day!!
Mark promised Mason he would shave his hair like a Mohawk! He was so excited!!

I decided to try and give Maddie a ponytail Mohawk! She wasn't as thrilled, but it was cute!

Daddy also came to their school today to talk about Fire Safety. This was the 2nd year for him to do this and the kids loved it. Mason and Maddie were so proud to show off their daddy!

Mark was so good with all the kids and only made one little girl cry.

Maddie and Curtis. Curtis always tells his mom that he is going to marry Maddie.

She was so upset when we left, but so excited when we were there.

Crazy Hat Day

This week is homecoming week in town, and the daycare always participates in spirit week. Yesterday was crazy hat day.

This is the crazy hat that he actually wore to school. He changed his mind in the car. It's the wig from Jake and the Neverland Pirates.

Here is his class at school.

After school Maddie wanted to fix Mason's hair. He was sweet to play with her.

Halloween Party 2012

Saturday was the annual family Halloween party. Mark had to work this year, so he missed the party. We went as the avengers.
Hulk, black widow and ironman

We have actually started calling Maddie the hulk at the house because she has been going through a destructive phase.

Here and There

Here are some random photos taken over the past few weeks.

We went to Six Flags with Zuzu and mikayla.
This was behind a fence and I'm pretty sure we weren't suppose to be in there, but Daddy thought it would be ok. He loves this old fire truck.

Mason and daddy on the sombrero for the first time. He wasn't too sure about it at first but loved it.

Mikayla was my riding buddy for the day.

I wish I had gotten a pic of them on the ship. Mason was hilarious he was screaming like a girl and it was so funny.
Mikayla was such a trooper riding all the kiddie rides with Mason!

Maddie building up her immune system by licking the railing. :(

Zuzu, mikayla, mason and Maddie on the trucks. I wish I could have gotten a better pic of Maddie, because this was her favorite ride of the day. She was sitting in front just a turning the wheel, then she would stick her hand out the window and wave at me and daddy. It was so cute!

Her is another pic to prove Maddie's love for shoes...

Lazy Sunday afternoon nap.

Mason holding a picture of a girl's grandpa from school. He saw a teacher at school rip this pic out of the Corsicana Now magazine and give it to the girl. So later that day when we got home I was on the couch flipping thru the same magazine and he saw that page and got so excited. He asked if he could take the pic and give it to the girl tomorrow at school. He said she was going to be so happy.

He is seriously the sweetest and most thoughtful kid!! I hope he stays that way forever!
Oh and the next day at school the girl told Mason that he was the best for bringing the pic to her :)

Not a baby anymore...

So today I had a realization that my baby girl is not really a baby anymore. Of course she will always be my baby, but everyday she reminds me of what a big girl she is.
Last week I had to take her to the doctor and she insisted I lay her down on the bed. So I laid her down and stood next to the bed and then she pointed to the chair and told me to sit down.

She is constantly digging in her shoe bin. I don't think Mason could put his own shoes on yet at this age but Maddie can and absolutely loves too! They may be on the wrong feet 90 percent of the time but she can do it!
Also every time I take her picture she gives me this cheese face and then says "I see."

Both of my kids are growing up way to fast, it's not fair!
Mason wanted me to take his picture this morning with his serious face. This picture makes me laugh because he looks like he's trying to be a Calvin Klein model or something...

And brother and sister loving on each other!

I have been terrible about taking pictures lately and I need to be better. I don't want to look back in 10 years and regret not taking pictures of my sweet babies!!
